In honor of July being National Cord Blood Awareness Month, BioInformant is releasing five more cord blood banking awareness statistics that you may not know. These facts are distributed weekly (every Wednesday) on our social media platforms, as part of our ongoing partnership with the Save the Cord Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to educating the public about the value of cord blood and tissue preservation.
In tackling an educational campaign to promote cord blood banking awareness, it is critical to acknowledge that the effort has two components:
1) Increasing awareness among parents, as well as those who support them, including brothers, sisters, grandparents, and friends.
2) Increasing awareness among the medical community, most notably among obstetricians.

The Campaign for Cord Blood Banking Awareness
In April of 2015, Save the Cord Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to cord blood banking awareness and education, and BioInformant Worldwide, LLC, a research firm specializing in the cord blood industry, have partnered to launch an awareness campaign called “Cord Blood Banking Awareness: Educating America and the World.”
The campaign is a global effort that will educate currently expecting parents, as well as future parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends, about the medical benefits of cord blood preservation. The campaign will involve distribution of weekly facts about cord blood banking awareness, as well as distribution of media content and videos sharing factual information about cord blood banking awareness rates in the U.S. and other countries worldwide.
